The University of Haifa is dedicated to advancing graduate studies. In the framework of this policy, the University continuously strengthens the system of scholarships given to graduate students. The Graduate Studies Authority has developed varied “support baskets” intended for outstanding students who demonstrate a commitment to research and are ready to devote full time to their studies.

Eligibility for a scholarship is determined by excellence, academic achievements, academic and administrative standing, and progress of studies. The students must satisfy the criteria that appear in the Scholarship Regulations, and obtain the department’s recommendation and the approval of the Graduate Studies Authority.

Every academic year may see changes in the awarding criteria for the various scholarships, and these changes will be published. The various scholarships for M.A. students are awarded for a period not exceeding the normative period of studies.
