The Rector's Prize for the University’s outstanding Master student is awarded annually to a student whose thesis is voted the outstanding work of the year (first prize).
The Graduate Studies Dean's Prize is awarded to a student whose thesis is voted to be the outstanding thesis that year (second prize).

In addition, a citation of honorable mention will be awarded to one student from each faculty in which no student won either of these two awards (Rector's / Graduate Studies Dean’s Prizes).

Prize amount: The winner of the Rector’s Prize will receive a higher amount than the winner of the Graduate Studies Dean’s Prize. The amount of each prize will be determined in advance every year by the Rector and the Dean of Graduate Studies in accordance with the budget.
